CRI is one of the largest franchisees of Burger King restaurants worldwide, operating fast food restaurants in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Company was acquired in May 1991 and operated 86 restaurants at that time. After substantial improvements in operating margins and growth in the store base to 109 restaurants, CRI was sold to a private equity firm in October 1996.
