Service Partners was the largest independent residential fiberglass insulation ("RFI") distributor in the United States and a leading installer of insulation and related building products. The Company was formed by Quad-C to pursue a consolidation of the independent RFI distribution channel. After experiencing strong internal growth and completing 23 acquisitions over a two-year period, Service Partners was recapitalized with a financial buyer in October 2000 and then acquired by Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) in September 2002.
