Quad-C KAI Capital
Quad-C opened an office in Beijing in 2008 (Quad-C KAI Capital)
and is seeking equity investments in attractive middle market companies that
are headquartered in China. Quad-C KAI targets investments in manufacturing,
distribution and service companies. We are generalists and will
opportunistically consider investments in most sectors, in particular logistics
and transportation, consumer products, specialty chemicals, healthcare, energy
conservation, food and restaurants, infrastructure, packaging and light
industrial manufacturing. Target companies will typically generate $5-25
million of operating profit and our expected investment size is $10-50 million
of equity. The China team will consider growth capital investments and minority
ownership positions, as well as buyout transactions.
Quad-C is working in partnership with Ms. Virginia Kamsky in its
China investment efforts. Ms. Kamsky founded and is Chairman and CEO of Kamsky
Associates, Inc. ("KAI"), a strategic advisory firm with offices in
Beijing and New York City. KAI was established in 1980 and was one of the first
twenty American corporations licensed by the Chinese Government to establish an
office in Beijing. KAI was the first approved foreign advisory firm in China
and has provided both Western and Chinese companies with a broad range of
consulting services over the last 30 years. Ms. Kamsky is also the Chairman of
the Board of Trustees of China Institute in America, the oldest
not-for-profit U.S. organization focused on the US-China relationship.
